TES to Provide Applanix Marine Products and Solutions that Increase Marine Survey Operations Efficiencies

ABU DHABI, UAE & RICHMOND HILL, CANADA, 15th August 2016 Applanix, a Trimble Company , and TES Survey Equipment Services LLC announced today they are partnering to provide products, support and service to marine clients in the Middle East. By working closely with TES, Applanix gains knowledgeable and experienced representation in the Middle East and TES further expands its solutions portfolio with the addition of Applanix’ POS MV and POSPac MMS GNSS-aided inertial navigation products for the commercial market.

The Applanix POS MV system (Position and Orientation System for Marine Vessels) is a user-friendly turnkey system, designed and built to provide accurate position, heading, attitude, heave and velocity data for marine vessels and remote sensing equipment. With over one thousand systems deployed worldwide, POS MV is field-tested, proven in extreme conditions, and an established leader in its industry. POSPac Mobile Mapping Suite is Applanix' next generation, industry-leading software for Direct Georeferencing of mobile mapping sensors using GNSS and inertial technology.

TES Survey Equipment Services LLC to represent SonarBell® technology to the Middle East and Southern Africa

TES have announced an agreement with Subsea Asset Location Technologies (SALT) Ltd from the UK, to represent and resell SonarBell® technology in the Middle East and Southern Africa regions.


SonarBell® is a passive, cost effective sonar reflector which when used in conjunction with common sonar types can provide a clear echo target identification. The SonarBell® delivers an economically viable asset marking solution for applications where alternative active technologies may be considered too complex or commercial unviable.

John Fraser from TES comments: “Working with existing or rented vessel, AUV and ASV sonar systems, the introduction of this efficient and cost saving technology will benefit our clients in subsea positioning; tracking and safety operations. TES appoint new Commercial Director

TES have announced the appointment of John Fraser as their new Commercial Director.

John is well known in the Middle East region, having previously led regional sales activity for Teledyne RESON within the Hydrographic; Oil & Gas; Marine Research; and Dredging market areas. With a university and operational background as a hydrographic surveyor, John now brings over 14 years of direct commercial business experience to TES.

Since its inception in 2007, TES have provided expert advice and customer focused support over their range of products and service solutions for environmental; geophysical; survey and ROV rental and sales operations. TES clients enjoy a continued evolving range of options to meet their needs, with a strong business philosophy reflecting high customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Based between the UAE and the UK in his role as Commercial Director, John will engage further with both suppliers and end clients, leading a number of strategic initiatives for the Abu Dhabi based company.

Multibeam system sale to RAK Ports

TES Survey Equipment Services LLC supplies multibeam system to key UAE Port Authority.

March 2016

TES have announced the successful supply of a Teledyne RESON SeaBat T20-P system; and ancillary sensors to RAK Ports in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

The SeaBat multibeam system will enable RAK Ports to efficiently survey their berths, channels and operational areas of activity in their increasingly busy port environment. The system also including Teledyne PDS software and an Applanix POS MV creates a survey platform that is further capable of conducting engineering inspection surveys; construction support and environmental surveys.

With industry recognised leading supply, John Fraser from TES comments: “Following a strong product demonstration supported by Teledyne RESON, we are delighted that RAK Ports chose the class leading performance solution. With the object detection capability of the system already proven, we look forward to supporting RAK Ports operations in the future.
